Reports are starting to circulate regarding the cell architecture Sony may be considering for it’s forthcoming PlayStation 4 games console.
These rumours propose that the PS4 will be using a multi-core CPU, one advantage would be to see developers being quick to develop for the console as a multi-core CPU would be easier to develop for than the Cell architecture.
Sony have repeatedly said the PS3 will have a ten year life span but that does not preclude the PS4 and PS3 living side by side for a while. We stick with our 2012 suggested release date.
